Located almost halfway between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay this is the perfect outdoor activity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Knysna Forest. Both beginners and experienced riders are welcome.
Plettenberg Bay Quad Bike Trips
Experience the thrill of quad biking halfway between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay on the stunning Garden Route. All Quad bike trips start on the man-made obstacle course to ensure riders are comfortable and feel at ease on the quad bike. The guided trails at Southern Comfort Quads will take you deep into the scenic Knysna Forest, while you navigate challenging terrain featuring steep inclines, sharp turns and exhilarating descents. Top quality Honda 250cc semi-automatic quad bikes are provided for an adventurous and safe ride.
Quad biking at Southern Comfort is great fun. Please take note of the following.
• Quad biking rides are conducted throughout the day, weather permitted.
• Groups from 1 to maximum 5 people
• Groups are not mixed
• Helmets are provided and are compulsory
• Riders must be 13 years or older
• Weight limit is 110kg to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Bookings are recommended to secure your spot.
• Tuck shop with basics, cooldrinks, water, tea, coffee, sweets and ice cream

Southern Comfort Camping
Welcome to Southern Comfort Camping, your peaceful getaway on the Garden Route, perfectly located halfway between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Our family-friendly campsite offers eight spacious stands for tents, caravans, and campers — each with power points and access to clean ablution facilities. Enjoy hot showers, braai areas, and a convenient on-site tuck shop while surrounded by nature. Whether you’re here for a quick weekend escape or an extended stay, Southern Comfort Camping is the perfect base to relax and explore the beauty of the Garden Route.
Tranquil Camping Sites near Knysna
Southern Comfort Camping offers 8 spacious camping sites ideal for tents, caravans, and campers. Here you can enjoy a true outdoor experience under the South African sky.
- Each stand includes a 15-amp electricity point (standard plug).
- Please bring along a 30m extension cord, as some sites are set back from the power outlets.
- Braai facilities available, first come first served. Bring own grid.
- Communal Ablution facilities with hot showers and an outdoor basin for dishes and laundry
- Firewood, briquettes and firelighters for sale.
- Tuck shop stocked with basics. Open from 08h00 to 18h00
- Please note that, due to resident free-roaming chickens and friendly dogs on the farm, pets are not permitted.
Camping Rates
Out of Season 1 May to 31 August
- Adults: R190 pp per night
- Children under 12: R100 per night
In Season 15 January to 30 April & 1 September to 30 November - Adults: R300 pp per night
- Children under 12: R130 per night
High Season 1 December – 15 January - Adults: R350 pp per night
- Children under 12: R130 per night

Booking & Cancellation Policy
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
• Cancellations less than 30 days before arrival: No refund on deposit.
• Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival: 15% cancellation fee applies.
